# Activate Face/Iris Login

## Prerequisites

Not all phones support the Class 3 / Strong Biometric Cipher for Face or Iris Authentication.

If you are unsure if your phone supports that feature please ask the manufacturer.

## Let's start

Make sure that you set at least one Face/Iris authentication in your phone's settings to proceed.

From the LockMyPix settings select the option *Fingerprint / Face Unlock*. Select the Face/Iris option and wait a moment for the confirmation.

{% hint style="info" %}
Changing or adding a Face/Iris parameter in your phone's settings requires LockMyPix to reaunthenticate
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** Always mind your password even if you login with Face/Iris. Ensure to use the [password recovery](/password/password-recovery.md) to have a fallback
{% endhint %}

You'd like to use Fingerprint as your preferred login method? [Activate Fingerprint](/general/activate-fingerprint.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.en.lockmypix.com/general/activate-face-iris-login.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
