# Copy to new device

Take the [encrypted Cloud](/backup-your-vault.md#use-the-encrypted-cloud) for the easiest transfer. Alternatively use the backup file:

1. [Create a backup](/backup-your-vault.md#create-a-encrypted-backup-file) on the old device
2. [Move the backup](/backup-your-vault.md#restore-from-a-backup-file) to your new phone and import that

### Android -> Android

Create a [backup file](/backup-your-vault.md#create-a-encrypted-backup-file), move that to your other phone and import it. To transfer the backup file use a PC or your preferred cloud service. Once transferred, import it from the LockMyPix settings.

### Android -> iPhone

Create a [backup file](/backup-your-vault.md#create-a-encrypted-backup-file), move that to your iPhone and import it. To transfer the backup file use a PC or your preferred cloud service. Once transferred, import it from the LockMyPix settings. The transfer via Google Drive from Android to iPhone is not supported.

### iPhone -> iPhone

Create a [backup file](/backup-your-vault.md#create-a-encrypted-backup-file), move that to your other iPhone and import it. To transfer the backup file use a PC, your preferred cloud service or just send the backup to yourself with email. Then save the backup to the files-app and import it from the LockMyPix settings.

### iPhone -> Android

Create a [backup file](/backup-your-vault.md#create-a-encrypted-backup-file), move that to your Android Phone and import it. To transfer the backup file use a PC or your preferred cloud service. Once transferred, import it from the LockMyPix settings. The transfer via Apple iCloud from iPhone to Android is not supported.
